Joan Lallou Smith, of Villanova, PA, passed away at home on October 13, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Edward Lallou, and her mother, Kathryn Hamilton Lallou. She is survived by her husband, Standish Harshaw Smith, her sister-in-law Cynthia Smith Fedders (Peter), her sons, Hamilton Fobes Smith (Debbie) of Skillman, NJ, and Robertson Lallou Smith of Jupiter, FL and 5 grandchildren.

Born in Chestnut Hill, PA on May 4, 1932, Joan graduated from Friends Central School in 1952. She was devoted to her family, attended church regularly, and loved to travel.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday October 16, 12:00 PM at Church of the Good Shepherd, 1116 Montgomery Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA.  Relatives and friends may may call at the Church after 11:30 AM.  A private burial service will follow in West Laurel Hill Cemetery.
