Jerry P. Mahoney, 84, of Bryn Mawr PA, died on August 16, 2024.  Husband of Janita John Mahoney, son of the late Gertude Bernadette Le Maitre Mahoney and John Thomas Mahoney.

Jerry was born at Misericordia Hospital and raised in Bryn Mawr, PA.  He went to Waldron Academy, Malvern Prep and Villanova University, graduating in 3 years with a BA in history.

He followed his dreams to New York City and met the love of his life Janita when they worked together at Stauffer's.  He was the restaurant manager and she was the dietician.  They eventually moved to back to Bryn Mawr in 1967, started a family and opened their own restaurant Mahoney's 1030, which they operated until 1975.  He then went into business with his brother Robert and opened Ardmore Tire, Inc. in Ardmore PA.  In 1982 the business moved to Conshohocken PA where it remains today and is owned and run by his brother Robert and son John.

He was an incredibly generous man, always eager to help his family, friends and employees. Jerry's love and pride of his wife, Son, Daughter-in-law and Grandson was beyond measure. Jerry touched the lives and hearts of so many with grace and compassion.

Brother of the late Patrick Mahoney and Gertrude Mahoney Tilghman. Survived by brothers Robert Mahoney, Michael Mahoney, Dr. John Mahoney and sister Mary Mahoney Rogers.  Father of John Paul Mahoney and his wife Stephanie (Cook) Mahoney of Haverford PA and his grandson Matthew John Mahoney of Bryn Mawr, PA.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a Visitation at 9 AM and Funeral Mass at 10 AM on Saturday August 24th at Our Mother Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Road, Bryn Mawr PA 19010.  Interment will be private at a later date.
