Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the unexpected passing of Jeanne Nowlan, a devoted mother, adoring grandmother (GiGi), loving sister, and cherished partner, who passed away on February 1, 2026, at the age of 68. Jeanne was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a longtime resident of Havertown, Pennsylvania, and a woman whose life was defined by fierce love, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to her family.

Jeanne graduated from Archbishop John Carrol High School and went on to attend The Ohio State University. Jeanne worked for many years as a Patient Service Specialist, her most recent role at Rothman Orthopedics in Bryn Mawr.

Jeanne was the proud and loving mother of two sons, Daniel Wake (Nikki) and Nowlan Montague, who were the center of her world. She poured her heart into raising them, offering constant support, strength, and unconditional love. Her guidance and devotion shaped their lives in enduring ways, and her legacy lives on through them.

One of seven siblings, Jeanne was a deeply devoted sister. She is survived by her siblings Susan Nowlan, Peter Nowlan (Sarah), Joe Nowlan (Kim), Nancy Nowlan, and Danielle Nowlan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Jeanne Nowlan, and her brother, Lawrence "Doobie" Nowlan (Heather). In addition to her siblings, she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jeanne shared her life with her devoted partner, Bobby, who was a source of love, strength, and steadfast support. Family meant everything to Jeanne, and she remained a steady, loving presence; protective, loyal, and deeply connected to those she loved.

Jeanne found joy and peace in fishing and the beach, treasuring time spent outdoors and the calm it brought her. These moments reflected her grounded nature and appreciation for life's simple pleasures. She also enjoyed good music and dancing.

Her greatest joy was her grandsons, Mason and Maxwell Wake, whom she shared an extremely strong and special bond. She adored her grandsons beyond measure. GiGi never missed a game, proudly cheering from the sidelines, her love and pride unmistakable. She was a constant presence, always encouraging, celebrating, and loving fiercely. To be loved by Jeanne was to be loved completely.

Jeanne's strength, warmth, and devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her spirit, love, and example will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
