Jean P. Sharkey-Funkhouser passed away on October 30, 2018 at her residence in Narberth, PA. She was 71.

Daughter of the late Dennis and Sarah Kelly Sharkey, she was born on September 23, 1947 in Bryn Mawr, PA.  Jean was a graduate of Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School for Girls, and West Chester University.  She received her Masters Degree in Special Education from Villanova University. Jean was a longtime teacher at Sacred Heart Church School in Havertown, PA.

Jean was the beloved wife of the late John Funkhouser, loving sister of Mary Gallen, Gerry Walker (Ed) and the late Dennis J. Sharkey and dear aunt of 8 nieces and nephews and numerous grandnieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday November 5, 10:30 AM at St. Margaret Church, 208 N. Narberth Ave., Narberth, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to a Viewing at the Church from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.  Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
