Jim P. O'Donnell, Sr., (81), of Holmes, PA, died peacefully in his home after a long battle with his health on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

Jim was born in Bryn Mawr, PA on February 27, 1943, to Elizabeth (nee Campbell) and Patrick O'Donnell and was the oldest of five brothers who survive him: Joseph (Kathy dec.), John, Daniel (Karen) and Vincent (Kathy dec.).  Jim graduated from Lower Merion High School in 1961 and enlisted in the US Air Force from August 1961 to July 1965.  Upon his return home Jim worked for the US Postal Service in Ardmore where he served for 35 years until his retirement.

Jim is also survived by his five loving children: Michele (James Morris), James P., Jr. (Natalie nee Veit), Amy (Keith Clevens), Brian and Michael (Holly nee Risko) as well as his nine beloved grandchildren:  Julia, Katelyn, Ryan, Natalie, Patrick, Sean, Conchetta, William and Emily.  Jim loved being a PopPop and spending time with his children and grandchildren and always made it a point to attend as many school, sporting and religious events as he was able.

Jim loved summer visits to Somers Point, NJ to enjoy the hot, sunny beach and his favorite restaurants; taking ALL the backroads driving to Maine in August for lobster and fishing; feeding acorns to his backyard squirrels, coffee breaks and most of all the freedom of the open road.

Relatives and friends are invited on Monday April 8th, Viewing from 9 to 10 AM with Funeral Mass at 10 AM at St. Colman Church, Lancaster Ave. & Argyle Rd., Ardmore, PA.  Interment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
