James P. Kleven's Obituary
James P. Kleven of Bala Cynwyd, PA., passed away on October 3, 2017 at The Bryn Mawr Hospital. He was 85.
Son of the late Casper A. and Ida Lindholm Kleven, he was born on September 19, 1932 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked as an administrator at various entities including in the Office of Grants and Contracts for Columbia University, then taking a job with the John A. Hartford Charitable Trust. After moving to the Philadelphia area, he worked for Hahnemann University Hospital and then for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. Kleven (nee Elish). Devoted father of Kristin Kleven Santos (Todd) and best "Hoppa" ever to Aidan Kleven Santos.
Funeral services and interment are private for the family.
Memorial donations may be made in his name to Morris Animal Shelter , 1242 Lombard St., Philadelphia, PA 19147.
