Obituary

James Augustus "Red Top" Coyle, Sr. passed away on May 1, 2014 at the age of 67. James was born in Philadelphia on July 5, 1946.

James was a proud member of the United States Navy, serving on the USS Simon Lake as a submarine communications operator. He was also a counselor at the Children's Residential Center in Vineland, NJ for nearly a decade. James was devoted to his Catholic faith and was particularly fond of Fr. Hamilton. He enjoyed watching ALL Philadelphia sports teams, as well as the Duke Blue Devils Men's Basketball Team, he enjoyed playing cards and had a serious sweet tooth.

James was predeceased by his mother Dolores Oakes Coyle Girvin, his father John Francis Coyle II, his Stepfather Happy Girvin and his three siblings John "Jackie" Coyle III, Wayne Coyle and Judy Madden. He is survived by his three children: Christine "Blaze" Coyle of Jersey City, NJ, James Coyle, Jr. of Minotola, NJ and Mary Coyle of Lancaster, PA. He is also survived by his longtime companion, Barbara Mischler, of Narberth, PA. and His sister Jennifer Girvin Martin of Barrington, IL. He was the proud Godfather of Emma Martin.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday May 10, 10:30 AM at St. Margaret Church, 208 N. Narberth Ave., Narberth, PA. Relatives and friends may visit at the Church after 10 AM. Interment will be private.
