James L. "Jay" Barone, of Bryn Mawr, PA. passed away on January 18, 2021 at Bryn Mawr Hospital.  He was 80.

Son of the late James P. and Mary Novi Barone, he was born on June 7, 1940 in Bryn Mawr, PA.  Jay graduated from Lower Merion High School class of 1958 and Villanova University class of 1962.  Jay was proprietor and owner of James P. Barone Company, esteemed asphalt paving company serving the Main Line since 1933 and also of Bryn Mawr Travel Agency (est. 1983).

Jay was the loving husband of Christine,  and the late Geraldine "Gerry". Devoted father of Susan (Christopher Davis), Diane (James Mitchell IV) and James L. Barone Jr. and stepfather of John McCarron (Paola Hirs-Castro) and Maureen Powers (Joseph) and Elizabeth McCarron (Sara Bressi). Grandfather of James F. Mitchell V "Jimmy", Harrison "Harry", James "Jake", Samuel Lenis, Louis and Natalie Powers, Joya Nath and Charlie McCarron.

Services and interment are private for the family.
