Irene K. Barbieri, (nee Krason), passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025 at age 101. She was born December 27, 1923 in Nanticoke, PA. Irene was the beloved and adored wife of the late Edward A. Barbieri, M.D. She resided at Bryn Mawr Village in Bryn Mawr, but lived on Rock Creek Road in Bryn Mawr for many years. Irene was predeceased by Edward, her dear sister Eleanor K. Hose, and brother-in-law Ralph L. Hose.

Like her older sister, she was trained and worked as a registered nurse in Philadelphia where she met Edward, a surgeon. She traveled the world with Edward, including a memorable audience with Pope Paul VI at the Vatican in Rome, skiing trips to Switzerland and Austria, and adventures in Africa and China. Closer to home she enjoyed long drives with Edward in their 1963 Mercedes-Benz 300SL cherry-red convertible.

Relatives and friends are invited on Friday December 12, 2025,  Visitation will be held at 10:30 AM with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, 350 Conshohocken State Rd, Gladwyne, PA. 19035. Burial will be private.
