Obituary

Helen Best Warner, of Gladwyne, PA., passed away on February 19, 2013 at Waverly Heights. She was 86.

Daughter of the late Burns and Gertrude Best, she was born on February 7, 1927 in West Chester, PA. and grew up in Narberth, PA. Helen was a former teacher at Merion Square School in Gladwyne. She was a past parishioner of Narberth Methodist Church, member of the Merion Cricket Club and was an avid tennis and bridge player. For over 40 years she volunteered with Meals On Wheels and even received the Volunteer of the Year Award a few years back. She enjoyed her summers in Eagles Mere, PA in her youth and later down at the Jersey shore in Stone Harbor and Avalon with family and friends.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert G. Warner who died in 1992. Devoted mother of Rob (Diana), Stephen (Betsy), Jon (Jessica) and Todd (Nancy). Dear sister of the late John Best. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Monday March 11, 12:30 PM at Gladwyne Presbyterian Church, 1321 Beaumont Dr., Gladwyne, PA. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals On Wheels, 413 N. Lee Street Alexandria, Virginia 22314.
