Gloria A. Frank, surrounded by her immediate family, passed away peacefully in the Surgical ICU at Lankenau Hospital, Wynnewood, PA on Friday June 17, 2022. This followed a heroic two-week battle to save her life after a tragic accident at home.
Visitation will be held at the McConaghy Funeral Home, 328 West Lancaster Avenue, Ardmore, PA 19003 on Thursday, June 23, 2022 between 6:00 and 8:00 PM; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 24, 2022 at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, 350 Conshohocken State Road, Gladwyne, PA 19035. Interment will be private.
Born February 28, 1963, Gloria was a long-time resident of Villanova, PA. She formerly resided in Bucks County and Wyomissing, PA where she graduated from Governor Mifflin High School.
She was the youngest daughter of Michael D. and K. Alberta Frank (nee Hayman), both deceased, and had four siblings including Michelle F. Keating (Leonard J. Keating, Jr.), Villanova; Michael D. Frank, Jr. who preceded her in death; R. Gerard Frank, Philadelphia; and Bernadette M. Krakovitz, (Harold A. Krakovitz), Langhorne.
Gloria is also survived by loving nieces and nephews including Leonard J. Keating III, Denver, CO; Emily K. Haag (Nicholas M. Haag), Villanova, PA; Kristina Frank Birath, Jamestown, NY; Rachel Frank Snyder (Joseph), Warren, PA: Herbert T. Scheuren III (Melissa Scheuren),Yardley, PA; and J. Tyler Krakovitz, Langhorne, PA.
Throughout her life, Gloria enjoyed caring for children as both a nanny and adoring Aunt. She was proud to have nine grand-nephews and grand-nieces: Nicholas Haag, Jr., Patrick Haag, Delilah Sek, Jaynah Snyder, Kaitlea Snyder, Carly Snyder, Keith Snyder, Leo Snyder, and Benjamin Scheuren.
Despite facing serious health issues from childhood throughout her life, she had a caring spirit; always handling pain and sickness with a smile and acceptance.
She was passionate about politics, a shrewd card player and a master of trivia, especially when it came to music.
Christmas was Gloria's favorite time of the year. She took great pleasure and pride in choosing presents for all and spent weeks decorating the house for the Holidays.
The family is most grateful to Lankenau's Trauma Care team for the extraordinary and compassionate care provided to our dear Gloria; and asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation in Gloria's name be considered to support Lankenau's Surgical Intensive Care Unit; directed to Lankenau Medical Center Foundation, c/o Development Office, 240 N.
