Gertrude Isobel Trainor (nee Rhoads) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 10, 2011. She was 97. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John Francis Trainor, Sr., her devoted son John Francis Trainor, Jr., her granddaughters Cecile Link and Johanna Trainor and her brother Charles H. Rhoads.

Jerry, as she was known to family and friends, is survived by her faithful children David Bruce (Kathleen) of West Chester; Barbara Whitner of Chagrin Falls, OH; Charles Warren (Patricia) of King of Prussia; Patricia Link (Harold E. Sweigart) of Coatesville; 18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by Elizabeth M. Trainor of Sunapee, NH, widow of John F. Trainor, Jr.; Edith Rhoads, widow of Charles H. Rhoads; nephew Charles Rhoads (Deborah) of Pittsburgh; nieces Leslie Rhoads of Havertown and Susan Bruening (Mark) of Mechanicsburg.

Mrs. Trainor was a member of St. Colman Church in Ardmore for almost 70 years where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and a Lector.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday October 14, 10 AM at St. Colman Church, Lancaster Ave. & Argyle Rd., Ardmore. Relatives and friends may call at the Church after 9 AM. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
