Obituary

Gerard J. Jurosky, Sr., beloved son, brother, husband, and father passed away on February 14, 2026 at Simpson House.  He was 90.

Gerard was very proud of his parents George and Kathryn for bringing him up in the catholic faith.  Born September 22,1935 in Exeter, PA., his family relocated to the suburbs of Philadelphia when he graduated Glen-Nor High school in the Class of 1953 where he earned varsity letters in basketball and baseball while also playing in the school band.  Gerard graduated from St. Joseph's University in 1957 with a degree in Business Administration. While at St. Joe's he played varsity baseball.

He was a proud Marine Corps officer who was a commercial finance and banking executive for over 40 years.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Mary Dolores (nee Connor) and sons Gerard, Jr. and Gary, along with sisters-in-law Kathleen Connor, Carol Walsh, and Rose Jurosky and nieces Katherine Jurosky, Donna Kontulius, Janell Jurosky, Jennifer Jurosky and Laura Kern.

He was predeceased by his parents George & Kathryn (nee Ferko) Jurosky and his brother George Jurosky.

His legacy is one of loving devotion to God, his family and country.

Relatives and friends are invited to St. Matthias Church, 128 Bryn Mawr Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 on Thursday February 19th, Visitation from 10 to 11 AM with Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
