Frank G. Bennett, Sr., of Garrett Hill, PA., passed away on January 9, 2012 at The Bryn Mawr Hospital. He was 82.
Son of the late William and Marie Bennett, he was born in Charleston, SC on August 2, 1929.
He served in the US Army as a 2nd Lieutenant. Frank worked as a Supervisory Business Specialist for Defense Logistics Agency / Defense Personnnel Support Center.
He was the beloved husband of the late Ida L. Bennett (nee Jenkins). Devoted father of Gerard C. Bennett, Frances Dutton and the late Frank, Jr., Martin and Julian Bennett. He was the loving grandfather of Danielle, Alex, Frank and Caitlin and Great-grandfather of Brian, Steven and Michael. He is also survived by his brother Lee Bennett.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday January 14, 10:30 AM at St. Thomas of Villanova Church on the University Campus, Lancaster Ave., Villanova. Relatives and friends may call at the Church after 10 AM. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA 19103.
