Mr. Francis "Frank" Edward McElwaine, born on July 4, 1935 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, to the late Margaret Hilferty McElwaine and Patrick McElwaine, passed away at age 83 on September 13, 2018 in Naples, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Felice Spatola McElwaine and by his brothers, James "Jim" McElwaine and John McElwaine. Frank is survived by 7 children and 16 grandchildren, his pride and joy: son, John McElwaine (Suan); daughters, Patrice Namiotka (Victor), Victoria McElwaine, Dannielle Doran (Joseph), Kirsten McElwaine, Thuy Donnelly (Joseph), and Jessica Theiss (Eric); and grandchildren, Brian, Patrick, Gianna, Felice, Romeo, Frank, Caroline, Jack, Sara Kathryn, Alli, Christian, Justin, Sammi, Thuy, Cameron, and Maxwell.

After having served in the US Army, he married Felice and soon after graduated from Villanova University. He worked first for Kiwani Oil and then advanced to Contract Supervisor for Keystone Shipping Co. Being a devoted Catholic for his entire life, Frank as a boy was a member of Our Mother of Good Counsel, and then Felice and he raised their children in Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Overbrook, PA and in Cape May's Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish. After moving to Chester County, Frank and Felice became devoted parishioners at St. Maximillian Kolbe. Frank became Chairman of the Republican Committee of Chester County. Upon retirement, Frank and Felice moved to beautiful Ave Maria, FL where they made many very dear friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday September 25, 11 AM at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr PA.  Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at the Church from 10 to 11 AM.  Interment will be private for the family at a later date.
