Francis J. Henning's Obituary
Francis J. "Frank" Henning of Ardmore, PA, passed away on May 31, 2017 at The Bryn Mawr Hospital. He was 87.
Son of the late James H. and Helen Valga Henning, he was born in Bridgeport, PA on July 18, 1929. Frank served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper and later served in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman. He was a police officer with the Lower Merion Township Police Department for 26 years before retiring in 1983.
Frank was the beloved husband of the late Alice C. Morris Henning. Loving father of the late John J. Dear brother of the late Dorothy Aquilante. He is survived by 6 nieces and nephews and 22 grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 1 nephew and 1 grand niece.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass Saturday June 3, 11 AM at St. Denis Church, Eagle Rd. & St. Denis Ln., Havertown. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: John Henning Memorial Scholarship Fund, Archbishop John Carroll High School, 211 Matsonford Rd., Radnor PA 19087.
