Frances Theresa Poarch, from Chesterbrook, Pennsylvania, died peacefully with her daughter, Susan, by her side on Thursday, March 5, 2020.

Frances was born on October 28, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York. One of eight children, Frances was the first of her female siblings to graduate high school. She was married to Walter Poarch on June 3, 1950, and was blessed with two daughters.

Frances worked as a secretary at Revere Copper & Brass in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, for most of her working life. After retiring from her secretarial position, she moved to Pennsylvania to be closer to Susan's family. Never one to sit still, Frances continued to hold part-time jobs until she finally retired at 88 years old!

Frances is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Susan (Richard) Davis; her grandchildren Adam (Anabel) Mizrahi; Lauren (Peter) Solimine; Mark (Anne) Davis, and Scott Davis; and her 5 great grandchildren, Vera Mizrahi, Charlotte, Gwendolyn, and Eleanor Solimine, and Henry Davis. She is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Tomasina Guerriero (nee Ingenita), former husband Walter Poarch, and her beloved daughter Caroline (Sam) Mizrahi.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am and prayer service from 11:30 – 12:00 at McConaghy Funeral Home, located at 328 W. Lancaster Avenue, in Ardmore, PA. Luncheon will follow services.
