Fr. Joseph X. O'Connor, O.S.A., died on June 19, 2017 at The Bryn Mawr Hospital, Bryn Mawr, PA.  He was 89.

He was a member of the St. Thomas of Villanova Monastery Community. Son of the late John E. O'Connor and the late Elizabeth O'Connor, he was born on May 26, 1928 in Lawrence, MA.  He had five sisters and two brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Monastery Chapel of St. Thomas of Villanova Monastery on Wednesday June 21 at 7:00 PM. Besides his religious brothers, Fr. O'Connor is survived by two sisters  Sr. Elizabeth O'Connor, SND and Rita O'Connor and nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Burial will take place in the Augustinian Plot at St. Mary's Cemetery, Lawrence, MA on Friday June 23rd.
