Fr. Joseph F. Girone, O.S.A. passed away on Saturday February 13, 2021.   He was a member of the Augustinian Community of St. Augustine Preparatory High School, Richland, NJ.

Son of the late Joseph and Angela (Tate) Girone, he is survived by two brothers, Paul and James, nephew Alex, and members of his Augustinian community.

Fr. Girone served in parishes in the Bronx and Staten Island, NY.  While in the Bronx, he also served briefly as director for initial formation for Hispanic vocations.   Other assignments included missions in Peru, Assistant Director of Hispanic Ministry for the Diocese of Wilmington, DE and more recently as faculty member of St. Augustine Preparatory School, Richland, NJ.

Viewing on Friday February 19,  from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at St. Thomas of Villanova Church on the campus of Villanova University, 800 Lancaster Ave., Villanova PA,  followed by his Funeral Mass at 7:30 pm.  Burial Saturday February 20, at 10:30 am at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.
