Fr. James E. Martinez, O.S.A. passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021. He was a member of the Augustinian Community of St. Thomas Monastery, Villanova, PA. Son of the late Vincent and Anna (Lynch) Martinez, he is survived by his sister- in-law Mildred Martinez, nieces, nephews, and members of his Augustinian community. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a twin sister.

Fr. Jim served primarily in parishes staffed by the Augustinians beginning as an associate pastor at St. Augustine's, Troy, NY (1959-1969), and as pastor at the following three parishes - St. Augustine's, Casselberry, FL (1969-1977), Our Mother of Consolation, Chestnut Hill, PA (1977-1979), and for 31 years at Our Mother of Good Counsel, Bryn Mawr, PA (1979-2010).

Viewing on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr, PA, followed by his Funeral Mass at 4:00 pm. Burial on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at 11:00 am in the Augustinian plot at Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.
