F. Jeanne Englebert, formerly of Wayne, PA., passed away on February 4, 2017 at Oak Crest Village Retirement Community in Parkville, MD. She was 95.
Daughter of the late Francis M. and Francs Kelly Englebert she was born in Bryn Mawr, PA on August 1, 1921. She was a graduate of St. Katharine of Siena High School and Bryn Mawr Hospital School of Nursing. Jeanne worked for over forty years at Bryn Mawr Hospital as a nurse, supervisor of the nursery and the Women's Building, Administrator of Maternal Health and Pediatrics.
Jeanne was involved with the Bryn Mawr Hospital Alumnae Association, the Catholic Nurses Guild, and PA Nurses Association. For her contributions to the nursing profession and the community she was awarded the "Women Helping Women" award by the Main Line Soroptimists in 1975.
Jeanne lived in Wayne all her life and was a parishioner at St. Katharine of Siena for over 70 years. In 2001 she and her sister Anne moved to Baltimore, MD.
Jeanne is survived by her sister Yvonne Stephens of Lafayette Hill, PA, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Two other sisters Anne O'Donnell and Margaret Shivelhood preceded her in death.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday February 11, 10:30 am at St. Katharine of Siena Church, Lancaster and Aberdeen Aves., Wayne, PA. Relatives and friends may call at the Church after 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
