Ellen J. Gillin of Bryn Mawr, PA., passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025 at Bryn Mawr hospital. She was born 101 years ago in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to Mike and Dominica (Dora) Cholik, deceased.  She was also preceded in death by six sisters, Mary, Anne, Nellie, Lucy, Victoria and Marjorie - as well as 2 brothers, Tom and Victor.

She joined the Royal Canadian Air Force as a young woman where she met and married Frank J. Jaeger in 1948.  He was an officer in the United States Air Force.  Frank and Ellen had four children, James Jaeger, Candace Jaeger Jester, and twins Scott and Guy Jaeger (both deceased). Ellen had five grandchildren, Adam Jester, Brad Jester, Darcie Jester (deceased), Michael Jester, and Kevin Jaeger as well as seven great grandchildren, Theodore Jester, Harrison Jester, Arabella Jester, Brooks Jester, Jack Jaeger, Hadley Jaeger and William Jaeger.

She married James Gillin in 1982.  They enjoyed spending time in Palm Beach, Florida, boating up and down along the east coast, and were active members at Aronimink Country Club.  He passed away in May of 2005.

Ellen was an avid bridge player and also enjoyed croquet, tennis and golf.

An interment service is being planned at Arlington National Cemetery.
