Elizabeth M. Mertle (nee Kesslak) passed away on Thursday January 20, 2011 in Rosemont, PA. She was 90. Daughter of the late William and Mary Blimmel Kesslak, she was born on February 19, 1920 in Johnstown, PA. She was the beloved wife of almost 50 years of the late John J. Mertle. Devoted mother of Michael, William (Yvonne), David (Liz), Jeffrey and the late Dennis (Mary). Loving grandmother of Karen, Felice Wulc (Bob), Joseph, Stephen, Brian, Kristen, Jessica and the late Mary Elizabeth. Dear sister of Jane Kesslak and the late Michael Kesslak, Rose Kellar and Margaret Kesslak. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Jean Singel as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Elizabeth was a loving and patient mother and grandmother, who loved to be on the move. She was a member of St Thomas of Villanova parish. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday January 25, 10 AM at St. Thomas of Villanova Chapel, Lancaster Ave., Rosemont, PA. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing Monday from 7 to 9 PM at McConaghy Funeral Home, 328 W. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore, PA.
