Edward T. "Fast Eddie" Garrity, Jr., passed away peacefully at his residence in Narberth, PA on Sunday June 21, 2015. He was 83.

He was the beloved husband of Kathleen J. Garrity (nee Gramigna). Loving father of MarySue Simon (Matthew), Edward (Kieran), Joseph, William (Alice), Michael (Sheila), Kathleen McNulty (James), Frank, Annie, Christopher (Katie), Patrick and Jennifer. Dear brother of the late Peg Devine, Mary McKee, Eileen White, Jean Garrity and Anne Garrity. Brother-in-law of Mary Gramigna, Charles Gramigna and Father Francis Gramigna. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Garrity graduated from West Catholic High School in 1949 and St. Joseph's University in 1953, where he played basketball. He served in the United States Army. He worked for and retired from Allstate where he sold insurance for 30 years. He was an avid golf and tennis player, sports he enjoyed playing with his "buddies" for several years. He was inducted into the St. Joseph's Men's Basketball Hall of Fame in 1978 and remained a life long dedicated fan to "The Hawks".

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday June 26, 11 AM St. Margaret Church, 208 N. Narberth Ave., Narberth, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday from 6 to 9 PM at McConaghy Funeral Home, 328 W. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore, PA or on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Church. Interment will be private.
