Edward R. D'Alessio, Ph.D., of Gladwyne, PA., passed away on July 2, 2018.  He was 86.

Son of the late Gerard and Angelina Picariello D'Alessio, he was born on May 20, 1932 in Orange, NJ.

Edward was the beloved husband of Rose Mary D'Alessio (nèe Racanelli).  Devoted father of Judith A. Flanagan (James), Edward P. D'Alessio, Esq., John G. D'Alessio, M.D. (Diane) and Terese D. Ruff (Robert). Dear grandfather of Christopher, Stephen, Claire, Sarah, Alexandra, William, Olivia, Victoria, Michael, Matthew and Kevin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. The youngest of 14, he was predeceased by 13 siblings.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday July 6, 11 AM at St. John Vianney Church, 350 Conshohocken State Rd., Gladwyne. Interment will follow in West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd.  Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at McConaghy Funeral Home, 328 W. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore .
