Edward Leo Agnew, age 77, of Sicklerville, NJ died on February 21, 2018 in the loving presence of his children and the caring staff of Vitas Hospice in Stratford, NJ. He was born in Ardmore, PA on May 24, 1940, son of the late Charles Nicholas and Catherine Callahan Agnew as the youngest of nine children. Ed attended St. Colman's Catholic School and graduated from Monsignor Bonner High School in 1958. He entered the United States Army in 1959 serving as Private First Class stationed in Korea until he was honorably discharged in 1961.
Ed worked in the financial printing industry for 40 years starting out as an apprentice and successfully working his way up to sales and managerial positions. He will lovingly be remembered for his carefree personality and positive outlook on life. Ed had a fondness for telling stories and loved to make people laugh. He lived life on his terms and never compromised the things that brought him joy.
Ed is survived by brothers, Richard and Nicholas, his children, Edward Jr. (Betsy) Agnew, Karen (Jeffrey) Clayton and Cynthia (Aaron) Plante and nine grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by his son Thomas, his brothers Joseph, Charles, John, James, William and sister Adrienne.
Family, friends and those whose lives were touched by Ed are invited to a Visitation at 9 am on Tuesday February 27
th
at St. Colman's Church, Lancaster Ave. & Argyle Rd., Ardmore, PA., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am to celebrate Ed's life. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
