In the early hours of October 1, 2020, Donna Gabriele Hunter left us peacefully at her home in Villanova, PA after a long bout with breast cancer.  She was 77 years of age and is survived by her loving husband James A. Hunter, Jr., their loving son James ("Jamie" to his parents), his wife Elaine Budreck Hunter, Donna's niece Donna Ann Chechele (daughter of Donna's late sister Marietta), her husband James Chechele, first cousins Anna Mae Batitto, Ellen Bator, John Gabriele, Sandra Harrington, Ernestine Luise, Constance Visco, and Anthony Zampetti, and Chloe the cat.

Donna grew up in Orange, NJ, attended Georgian Court University in Lakewood Twp., NJ and received her Masters Degree in Biochemistry from Seton Hall University.

A requiem mass will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Orange on a date to be announced.  Donna's cremated remains will eventually be interred at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.

In her youth, Donna was a biochemist at Bristol Myers Squibb in Hillside, NJ.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Donna's name to either Georgian Court University , her alma mater, or the Basser Center for the study of the BRCA gene at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in tribute to her dear friend and physician Dr. Susan Domchek, the Center's Executive Director.
