Donald Francis Daly, of Bryn Mawr, PA., passed away on December 5, 2007 at the Bryn Mawr Hospital. He was 79.
Son of the late Christopher and Anne Kelleher Daly, he was born in Bridgeport, CT. in 1928. He was a Captain U.S. Army (Ret.) serving during the Korean War. He received a Distinguished Service Cross, Purple Heart and 2 Bronze Stars with "V" for Valor. He was a graduate of Yale University Class of 1950. He worked as a Vice President for Scudder, Stevens & Clark in New York, NY. ; was a partner in Brundage, Story & Rose in New York, NY and later was an Executive Vice-President of Mellon Bank in Philadelphia.
He was the beloved husband of Sandra Godfrey Daly. Devoted father of Candace D. Scottow and Jacqueline D. Valicenti of Charleston, SC., Elizabeth D. de Verteuil of France, Patrick K. of Louisville, KY., Samuel R. of Bryn Mawr and the late Jennifer A. Daly. Loving brother of Russell J. Daly of Washington, DC. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are private with a Memorial service to follow at a later date.
