Obituary

Deacon George A. Bolter, of Wayne, PA., passed away suddenly on March 9, 2008. He was 75.

Son of the late William and Jane Lyons Bolter, George was born in Wayne in 1932. He worked in the food service industry for many years at first for supermarket chains such as ACME and A&P and later he worked as a salesman for various food brokers and distributors. He was a member of the Retail Clerks International Association and the Knights of Columbus. He worked as a crossing guard for the Radnor Township School District for the last 12 years. He was ordained a deacon in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on June 3rd 1990 and served as deacon for St. Katharine of Siena Church Parish in Wayne in addition to St. Monica Church Parish in Berwyn and Our Lady of the Assumption Church Parish in Strafford.

George was the beloved husband of Mary Teresa Bolter (nee Muldoon). Loving brother of Regina Lewis and the late Thomas and Charles Bolter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Ireland.

A Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by his Eminence Cardinal Justin Rigali will be held on Monday March 17, 11:00 AM at St. Katharine of Siena Church, Lancaster & Aberdeen Aves., Wayne, PA. Reverend Clergy, relatives, friends are invited to his viewing Sunday from 4 to 6 PM or Monday from 9 to 11 AM at the Church. Interment will be private.
