Corinne G. Bibby (nee Gallagher) of Villanova, PA., passed away on August 21, 2009 at Bryn Mawr Hospital. She was 90.

Daughter of the late James and Helen McNamara Gallagher, she was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 4, 1918. She lived her formative years in Philadelphia and is a 1937 graduate of West Philadelphia Catholic Girls' High School and a 1941 graduate of Rosemont College.


She was a devoted wife and mother raising five children while traveling the world with her military husband. After settling in Villanova, she devoted herself to her family including her handicapped child Mimi while assisting with the staff at St. Katharine's Day School in Wynnewood, PA.

She was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Lt. Col. William L. Bibby, U.S. Army Ret.; devoted mother of Barbara M., William L., Jr., Christopher J., Alfred J., and the late Mary C. Bibby; loving grandmother of Sheila C., Thomas W., Chase M. and Lauren D. Bibby, and dear great-grandmother of Joseph Nenstiel, IV.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Monday August 24, from 7 to 9 PM at McConaghy Funeral Home, 328 W. Lancaster Ave., Ardmore, PA . A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday August 25, 10:00 AM at St. Katharine of Siena Church, Lancaster & Aberdeen Aves., Wayne, PA. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken, PA.
