Constance A. Gasteyer passed away February 17, 2020 at the age of 91. She was born in The Netherlands, in the town of Bussum, on March 25, 1928, to her parents Rudolf and Grace Korth Vermey.

Connie, her parents, and her three sisters emigrated to the United States in 1939, first settling in Staten Island, NY moving to Dobbs Ferry, NY where Connie attended high school. She worked as a cytotechnologist before she met her husband Charles Gasteyer, whom she married in 1959. They settled in Lyme, CT where they raised two children. Connie lived in Lyme for 50 years, before moving to live with her younger sister Betty in Bryn Mawr, PA.

Her hobbies included gardening, drawing, and nature walks. She especially loved to sing, whether with her sisters, in the church choir, or around the house. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her sisters Jetty and Peggy. She is survived by her sister Betty, her children Grace and Karl, and her grandson Shane. Her family and friends will remember her for her kindness, her generous spirit, and her sense of humor.
