Clara Glynn Hilberts (nee Scanlan), age 90, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2025 at Dunwoody Village in Newtown Square, PA. with family by her side.

Clara was born in Bryn Mawr the youngest of three daughters of John F. and Honora G. Scanlan.

She was the beloved wife for 67 years of Robert M. Hilberts. Devoted mother of  Thomas M. (Betsey) and the late John S. "Jay" Hilberts. She is also survived by her 3 granddaughters Eliza Allen (Matt), Greta and Allie. She was dear sister of the late Patricia Gordon and Suzanne High.

Clara attended Mater Misericordiae (known now as Merion Mercy) and Rosemont College.  She was very active in several charitable organizations, notably St. Edmonds Home for Children, St. John's Hospice and Meals on Wheels. She loved life and lived it to fullest with her family and treasured friends.

Relatives and friends are invited on Friday May 9th, Visitation from 10 to 10:45 AM with Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. John Vianney Church, 350 Conshohocken State Rd., Gladwyne PA 19035. Interment will be private for the family.
