Claire K. Strickler, of Waverly Heights, Gladwyne, PA, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2022 in Bryn Mawr Hospital. She was 91.

Claire was the beloved wife of the late Earl T. Strickler.  Devoted mother of Susan, Meg, Gilbert and Peter. Loving grandmother of Elizabeth Wattiker, John Wattiker, Catherine VanWingerden, Pierce Strickler and Caroline Strickler. Great-grandmother of Elliot, Clark and Murphy VanWingerden. Treasured extended family includes Peter Wattiker, Lyn Strickler, Mitchie Takeuchi, Larry Gerstner, Ben VanWingerden, Malcolm Carfrae and Meghan McDonald.

Claire was an ardent member of the Community Bible School (CBS) for over 30 years. She was a member of the Merion Cricket Club and Gulph Mills Golf Club and an avid practitioner of water aerobics. For many years, Claire studied art history at the Barnes Foundation with Violette de Mazia. She enjoyed traveling to Europe but her favorite trip was her tour of Israel visiting the Biblical sights she had studied for so long.

Funeral services and interment will be private for the family.
