Charles M. Conway, Sr., of Wayne, PA., passed away on Thursday April 26, 2007. He was 97.

The son of the late Thomas and Susan Hogan Conway, he was born in Wayne in 1910. He started 1st grade at St. Katharine of Siena Parish School on the day that the school was first opened. He would later graduate there from the 10th grade, which was the highest grade that the school had at the time. Charles was a co-owner and operator of the former Conway's Tavern located in the heart of Wayne. He also worked as a clerk for PennDOT for many years. He was a sports enthusiast who supported not only the professional teams of Philadelphia, but also many of the local high schools and legion teams of the area.

Charles was the beloved husband of the late Marian C. Conway. Devoted father of Carol Van Trieste, Nancy Pfeiffer, Charles M., Jr. "Michael", and Susan McCusker. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday April 30, 1:00 PM at St. Katharine of Siena Church, Lancaster & Aberdeen Aves., Wayne, PA. Relatives and friends may call at the Church after 12 Noon. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
