Carolyn Sharkey

Carolyn ("Carolie") Sharkey, 90, passed away peacefully in the presence of family and friends on July 23, 2026 (at her home in Bryn Mawr). She was an exceptional and loving mother to her three surviving sons and daughter- in-laws - Greg (Ginny), John (Wendy) and Steve (Heidi); cherished grandmother (CeeCee) to Samantha, Dylan, Maura, Rowan, Eloise, Amelia, Jack and Jamie; and great grandmother to Raya, Wren and Finn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Sharkey. Carolie was born and raised in Woodstown, New Jersey.

Carolie was a gifted artist and athlete, and her life philosophy was to be kind to people and accepting of people’s differences, and to make and keep friends. She had a unique ability to make her family and friends feel loved and appreciated for who they are.

Relatives and friends are invited on Tuesday September 22nd - Visitation from 10 to 11 AM with Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Presentation B.V.M. Church, 240 Haverford Rd., Wynnewood PA 19096.  Interment will be private for the family at a later date.
