Carol Van Trieste, of Wayne, PA, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026 at Wayne Center.
Carol was born on February 18, 1939, in Wayne, Pennsylvania, to Charles and Marian Conway.
Carol was a lifelong member of St. Katharine of Siena Parish in Wayne, where she attended school from elementary through high school. Her faith was central to her life. She sang in the parish choir for many years and served as a eucharistic minister, offering her time and voice in service to her community.
Carol worked for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals for over twenty years. After retiring from Wyeth, she returned to her parish as the secretary at St. Katharine’s, a role she held for a decade and one she cherished deeply.
Music was one of Carol’s greatest joys. She joined the Philadelphia Archdiocesan Choir when it was formed to perform for the Pope and remained an active member for many years. Through the choir, she traveled extensively across Europe, creating memories she treasured. She also enjoyed several trips to Ireland with her close friend Eileen and shared one special journey there with her granddaughter Ryan.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marian Conway, and her sister, Nancy Pfeiffer. She is survived by her children Gerry (Lorri), Chuck, and Susan; her grandchildren Ryan (Caleb), Trip, Dan, Sean, Josh, and Ashley; her sister Susan McCusker (Doug); her brother Michael Conway; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited on Saturday August 29th - Visitation from 9:00 to 10:45 AM with Funeral Mass at 11:00 at St. Katharine of Siena Church, Lancaster & Aberdeen Aves., Wayne PA 19087. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken PA.
