Carol Newborg McSherry passed away suddenly on January 2, 2017 at her home in Newtown Square, PA.  She was 70.

Carol was a graduate of Lower Merion High School and St. Joseph's University.  She started her career as a legal secretary in the litigation department at Dilworth Paxon and with former Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Sandra Schultz Newman before being hired by WCAU-TV, where she worked her way up to assignment editor during a 26 year career in television news.

She was the beloved wife of Robert W. McSherry. She is also survived by her sister Joan Goodman and sister-in-law Jessica A. McSherry.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation from 10 to 11 AM with a Memorial Funeral Service to begin at 11 AM on Saturday January 14th at McConaghy Funeral Home, 328 W.  Lancaster Ave., Ardmore PA.  Interment is private. A  celebration of Carol's life is being planned for a later date.
