CAROL RITZ FAUTSCH passed away on August 27, 2015 at her home in Gladwyne, PA. She was 78.

She was the beloved wife of the late Charles R. "Chuck" Fautsch who preceeded in her in death in November 2014. Carol will be sadly missed by her remaining family and many dear friends. Her immediate family is her Brother and Sister-in-law, William and Jeannine Fautsch, her nephews William (Bill) Fautsch, Steven Fautsch (Carol) and her niece Diane Jacobsen (James) and many grand nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews. Carol was born and raised in New Jersey to the late Henry and Marion Ritz. She graduated from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY with a degree in psychology. She moved to Baltimore and began her retail career at Hutzler's where she remained for 20 years. At a retail convention in Miami Beach she met Chuck. After a Philadelphia-Baltimore long distance courtship, they married in 1977. Carol joined Strawbridge & Clothier and became their fine jewelry buyer. They both enjoyed traveling to foreign and U.S. destinations. She enjoyed theater, The Philadelphia Orchestra and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Carol was active at St. Matthias Church.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday September 4, 11 AM St. Matthias Church, 128 Bryn Mawr Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA. Relatives and friends may call at the Church after 10 AM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to a charity of the donor's choice.
