Bonnie Lee MacCarthy (née Baer),78 years old, of Villanova PA died on December 22, 2025. She was the wife of the late Gerald Patrick MacCarthy, her husband of 26 years.

Bonnie was born on February 22, 1947 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Carlton Herbert Baer and Ruth Lorraine Hammer Baer.

Sister of the late Ronald Baer. She is survived by stepchildren Colin MacCarthy and Kevin MacCarthy. Also survived by a sister Donna Baer Jones, and nieces Deborah Jones, Gloria Jackson, and Rebecca Reed.

Bonnie graduated from Pierce Business college in 1966 and worked in various industries as an executive secretary while raising her family in suburban Philadelphia. She retired in 2022 after 25 years as executive assistant to Lawrence Flick, IV. of Fox & Roach Realtors, later Berkshire Hathaway Home Services. Despite the demands of work and family she found time for volunteer work with various hospitals and charitable organizations throughout the Delaware Valley.

Bonnie was a kind and loving mother, aunt, and great aunt. No Christmas or birthday passed without a superabundance of presents, thoughtfully planned activities, and personal attention. She was a good listener, supportive and encouraging; she blessed her family with laughter, generosity, and kindness.

A private service will be held at McConaghy Funeral Home, Ardmore, PA. Bonnie will be interred next to her husband at Calvary Cemetery in Villanova, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Bonnie's name may be made to Habitat For Humanity or, in tribute to her great love for animals, the Pennsylvania SPCA .
