Rev. Bernard J. O'Dowd, O.S.A.'s Obituary
REV. BERNARD JOSEPH O'DOWD, O.S.A., NOVEMBER 27, 2011- of St. Thomas of Villanova Monastery. Son of the late Bernard Denis and Mary Ellen O'Dowd (nee Tallon). Fr. O'Dowd is survived by his brother friars, his brother John Michael O'Dowd; 17 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Angela O'Dowd Schleier and Mary Ellen O'Dowd, and his brother Thomas O'Dowd. Funeral Mass Wednesday November 30, 7:30 PM at St. Thomas of Villanova Church (Univ. Campus), Lancaster Ave., Villanova, PA. Reverend Clergy, religious, relatives and friends may visit at the Church after 6:30 PM. Interment will be on Thursday December 1, 9:30 AM in the Augustinian Plot of Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA. In lieu of flowers, the Augustinian Community of which Fr. O'Dowd was a beloved member wishes contributions to be made to the care of the sick and elderly Augustinians and directed to the Augustinian Fund, c/o Provincial Offices, 214 Ashwood Rd., P.O. Box 340, Villanova, PA 19085-0340.
