Augusta Carr Pettinati (nee DiCandia), age 96, formerly of Downingtown, and Pottsville, PA, passed away on September 19, 2018 in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Augusta was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Margaret Herman DiCandia.  The youngest of 13 children, she was born on September 4, 1922 in Pottsville, PA.  All of her siblings have predeceased her. Augusta worked as a self-employed beautician for over 40 years.  She even went back to work in later years working in the mail room at The Vanguard Group well into her 80's.  She also very much enjoyed working with and teaching about ceramics.

Augusta was the devoted mother of Margaret D'Orazio (late Albert) of West Chester, PA and Maureen Williams (Daniel) of Cherry Hill, NJ.  She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday September 24, 10:30 AM at Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 31 Pennswood Rd., Bryn Mawr, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation at the Church from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.  Interment will follow in St. Denis Cemetery, Havertown, PA.
