August B. Castle, "Gus", of Gulph Mills, PA., passed away on April 12, 2020 at Bryn Mawr Terrace Rehab, in Bryn Mawr, PA. He was 85.

Son of the late August Castellini and Louise Salvaterra Castellini, he was born on August 5, 1934 in Onondaga, NY. Gus was a graduate of Solvay High School, where he was standout basketball player. In 1952 he set the single game scoring record in Onondaga County with 48 points. He also set the Onondaga County League scoring title with 1,004 points, which has since been broken. He would go on to play division 1 basketball at Syracuse University. Gus served his country as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army. As for his working career, he was involved in the printing and graphic arts industry. In his last job, he was a Vice President for Lehigh Press printing company. He was a long time parishioner at St. Thomas of Villanova Parish in Villanova, PA.

He was the beloved husband of Mary Louise Horgan Castle. Loving father of Beverly Castle, Robin Side and Richard R. Castle. Step-father of Thomas Horgan (Lisa), Terrence Horgan (Desi) and Cynthia Jani (Bhavin). Dear brother of Richard Castellini (Francis). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services and interment are private for the family.
