Ann W. Gerhard's Obituary
Ann W. Gerhard (nee Weisenbach), formerly of Radnor, PA., passed away on January 26, 2010 at Waverly Heights in Gladwyne, PA. She was 91.
Daughter of the late Frederick A. and C. Ottilie K. Weisenbach, who were long-time residents of Wayne, PA, she was born in Philadelphia on November 5, 1918. She was a graduate of The Baldwin School and of Smith College. She volunteered her time at The Bryn Mawr Hospital, at Wills Eye Hospital and as a docent at The Philadelphia Zoo.
She was the beloved wife of the late William J. Gerhard and Charles H. Wight, II. Devoted mother of Ottilie A. W. Conway (Richard) and Charles H. Wight, III. (Nita). Loving grandmother of Tenley Conway Hackworth (Jason), Lindsay G. Conway and Annsley E. Wight. Great-grandmother of Thomas Hackworth.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service Monday February 8, 11:00 AM at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 400 King of Prussia Rd., Wayne, PA. Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Gerhard Foundation, Bryn Mawr Hospital, 130 S. Bryn Mawr Ave., Bryn Mawr, PA 19010 or to the Zoological Society of Philadelphia, 3400 West Girard Ave., Phila. PA 19104.
