Ann P. Curran, aged 90, passed away on August 28, 2024, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Born Ann Sherwood Pew, on June 12, 1934, in Pennsylvania, she lived a life marked by devotion to her family and a passion for the arts.
Ann was a true matriarch, cherished for her nurturing presence and ability to make everyone around her feel loved and appreciated. Her roles as a mother, stepmother, mother-in-law, grandmother and wife were central to her identity. Ann's sense of humor, generosity, and empathy impacted all who knew her.
Ann attended The Shipley School and The Westover School in Middlebury, Connecticut in her early years. She continued to explore her love for arts locally at Rosemont College. Her active and creative spirit was expressed through her hobbies, including cooking, horseback riding, volunteering, painting, traveling, writing poetry, and pressing flowers. In addition, Ann was a great athlete having captained and played multiple sports in high school while enjoying golf and tennis in her later years.
Ann's commitment to her family was unwavering. She is survived by her sons, William Theodore Curran and Charles Crocker Curran; daughters-in-law Anne LeBrun Curran and Cyndi Jenkel Curran; her three grandchildren , Teddy, Chase and Cici Curran; her stepchildren, Donald E. Curran, Alexandra Curran Jennison, and eight step-grandchildren. Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, Alexandra Holton; her son, John Holton; and her husband, D. Edward Curran.
Her legacy of love, creativity, and strength will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
She will always and forever be loved, respected, and missed.
