Alice Patricia Garrity (nee Dougherty) the beloved wife of the late John Garrity passed away on November 17, 2021 at her home in Ardmore, PA.  She was 90.

Daughter of the late John and Agnes Dougherty, she was born on July 22, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA.  She was a graduate of Little Flower High School.  She married John Garrity in 1954 and they started a family of their own.

Alice was the devoted mother of John J., II., Joan Peebles (Byron), Joseph (Christine) and Janice Garrity.  Dear step-mother of the late Richard Garrity (late Eleanor).  Loving Grandmother of Sean and Mark Garrity, Brendan and Ian Peebles. She is additionally survived by many nieces, nephews and their children.

While raising a family of four she spent the bulk of her career working for the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) where she stayed until her retirement.

She enjoyed spending time with her family.  She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Tuesday November 23rd at St. Colman Church, 11 Simpson Rd., Ardmore, PA 19003.  Viewing from 9 - 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM.  Interment will follow in West Laurel Hill Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Alice's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
