Alice Huff Bounds, 86, peacefully passed away on January 5, 2024 in Bryn Mawr, PA. She was surrounded by her loving family. Alice was born in Wheeling, WV in 1937. A graduate of Triadelphia High School, she married George Bernard Bounds in 1958. Their loving marriage of 38 years was shared in both Wheeling and the Philadelphia Suburbs.

Alice was predeceased by her beloved husband George, her son Jeffery, and her brother Roy. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Scott (Anna) Bounds, Brian (Claudine) Bounds and her grandsons Brian and Aidan. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brothers: James, Alton, and John as well as many other family members and friends.

As a dedicated colleague and community leader, Alice held many positions such as the PTA President for Ohio County, a 4H Club Leader, an Office Manager, and the Secretary for Grace Church. However, for her family and friends, she was best known as an amazing mother (grandmother, too) and a devoted wife. In these two special roles, she excelled as a champion for love and thoughtfulness, a master chef and baker, and as a wonderful cheerleader. Alice's life was rich; it was filled with sweetness and adventure. Her zest for life was inspiring. A favorite family memory is Alice competing in a fierce Karaoke contest on a cruise ship. In a beautiful voice, Alice sang: "Country roads, take me home, To the place I belong, West Virginia, Mountain Mama, Take me home, country roads. . ." Our Mountain Mama has gone home.

We are grateful for sharing our lives with her. Alice was a blessing in so many unique ways. Our love and respect for her are forever. Her loving spirit and her joyfulness will live on in each of us.
