Alfred Astorino, Jr., "Fred",  originally from Northford, CT., passed away on April 11, 2018 at his residence in Wynnewood, PA.  He was 82.

Son of the late Alfred, Sr. and Henrietta Astorino Tarka, he was born in New Haven, CT on March 12, 1936.

Always a Marine, Fred served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked as a building official in local government, ensuring that families were kept safe.

Survived by his wife Elaine Silverman , sons Charles  (Denise) Michael (Marianna), daughters Mary-Beth and Patricia, grandchildren Felicia, Amber, Chelsea (Roberto) Garcia, Anthony, Steven, Marina, Jordan, Nicholas, Kevin, Michael, Alexander, and Rachel and 4 great-grandchildren.  Siblings Doris Gardulio, Alice (Tucker) Dawicki, Jacqueline (Robert) Butler and John Tarka. He was predeceased by his beloved first wife Maureen.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday May 12, 1:30 PM at St. Monica Church, 1321 Middletown Ave, Northford CT 06472.
