McConaghy Funeral Home has been family-owned since 1894, when it was founded by William McConaghy. After his passing in 1949, his son John T. McConaghy took over leadership and oversaw the construction of the current facility in 1950—built on the same foundation as the original home.

John’s son, William C. McConaghy, later assumed ownership and formally incorporated the business in 1978 as the William C. McConaghy, Ltd. Funeral Home. Following William’s passing in August 2019, his sons John and Christopher became the fourth generation to continue the family’s legacy. John now serves as the firm’s Supervisor.

The McConaghy family remains committed to providing professional, affordable care for all members of the community—offering a wide range of services, a dedicated staff, and a warm, welcoming facility designed to bring comfort and peace.
